VISANG announced on August 6 that its English learning program Challenge was selected as a finalist for the EDUtech Asia Awards 2025, one of the region’s most prestigious EdTech honors. The award, presented at the EDUtech Asia exhibition in Singapore, recognizes companies and solutions that have driven educational transformation. Challenge advanced in the ‘K-12 Best EdTech Deployment Award’ category for its success in innovating education in low-infrastructure settings.
Challenge is an English learning program that boosts student engagement through immersive content using MR (motion recognition) and AR (augmented reality) technologies. The program includes MR content where learners interact with alphabet letters through body movements, and AR content that brings characters out of books for interactive experiences. These features allow students to learn English like a game and actively engage in class.
VISANG cited several reasons for Challenge’s selection, including increased access to digital education, the spread of digital teaching practices, and the creation of interactive learning environments. The program received high recognition for its implementation at Ban Yansue Elementary School in Chonburi, Thailand, where it delivered quality education and introduced pedagogical innovation in digitally underserved areas. Challenge can operate with just a digital board or PC and webcam, making it suitable even in low-IT settings.
According to UNESCO’s 2024 report, limited ICT infrastructure and digital learning systems remain key barriers to educational equity in low-income countries. Inclusive programs like Challenge, which serve infrastructure-limited communities, are crucial to achieving sustainable education.
Rho Joong-il, CEO of VISANG Global Company, stated, “Our greatest strength lies in offering a diverse range of products that can be tailored to each country's IT infrastructure. Challenge has a low barrier to entry and signed export contracts this year with Paraguay and seven countries across the Asia-Pacific region, gaining traction in emerging markets.” He added, “From Challenge to our advanced AI-powered EdTech platform, AllviA Connect Learning, we will continue to serve a broad spectrum of educational needs with a versatile product lineup.”
The final winners of the EDUtech Asia Awards will be announced at the EDUtech Asia exhibition in Singapore this November. VISANG will host a dedicated booth at the event to engage new partners.
